three egg hunts, two golden eggs, and one delicious ham meal sums up another great Easter this year!
These kids are too spoiled and they know it. I can't help myself, it only happens once, right!?! It's such a fun age and Clara LOVES hunts. She likes the ones with clues so first, they went on a typical egg hunt in the house that led from upstairs to down. They then found their baskets and in their baskets were eggs that had clues to go on a clue hunt which led them to the car to find a final prize! Everett won't eat candy, he would choke on most but isn't even interested. Clara is not a huge fan so I have to get creative with their eggs. She is a rock collector so she got rocks and he got coins for his new piggy bank that he found in his basket. 90% of what is in the basket is a "need"...new suits and a few extras.
Clara can't stand the thought of the bunny being eaten so she gave it to grandpa and told him to wait until she was gone to eat it so she wouldn't get sad.
I fill both with books, they both love getting books. Everett got a cup for pouring in the bath/pool, his favorite hobby. Clara got a net for catching butterflies, her latest hobby. She got some magnesium lotion for before bed and some essential oils. She gave all her candy to grandpa.
I took the jelly beans to work for my students. It's amazing how much work you can get them to do for just one jelly bean! I'm not ashamed to bribe!!!
Oh, new hair ties. A must.
The giving of the loot. Dad and AL made a DELICIOUS meal, so good!
Clara loves to run to grandpas. She gets out part way down the street. Everett joined in this time.
The hanging on the TV. Dad used a few choice words I haven't heard in a coons age. Bah.
The new track.
Yet another hunt at Grandma and Grandpas. I made the poor decision of going BIG and not realizing when Clara was two she would remember everything and expect it every year!
Water logged and ready to hit the road. We come in like a tornado and blow out of there after we eat. I think dad and alice's heads are spinning for a few days after we go wondering what the heck just happened.
Can't forget every ritual, like taking pictures on the bench before our departure.
