Sunny Saturday

The park we had Clara's third birthday at renovated. It has fake grass now which is nice for my crawling Everett. It was wet being in the am hours though so Everett bear walked pretty much the entire time. I know he wants to be walking around so bad, hopefully now that Irma is gone our PT can get back to work and finish the paperwork to get him started, that's what we're waiting for. Sissy spinning her bubby.

Clara made a sweet friend and they climbed and slid for a long time.

Every time Clara wakes, we "have" to bring all her things downstairs for her. She must have it all, after nap and after waking in the am. She has many "friends", blankets, pillows, etc. Today, she took her time moving and enjoyed her couch time snuggling in all her goodies. Nothing is wrong with her here, just her being dramatic about a picture first thing.

Saturday afternoon we decided to go walking downtown St. Pete to get out of the condo and do something. We were really in the mood for a date night but without a free babysitter, we decided to string the kids along for the ride and hope for the best.

Both kids were so fun and well behaved, it was a great time.

We looked like tourists downtown, stopping and taking pictures at each statue. Clara loved it. It felt as if we were on vacation for a bit, looking in shops, walking about, taking in the sights. We don't go downtown often, so much has changed, we see many new places each time we finally make it down there. It seemed we used to live downtown.

After dinner we got ice cream. Sissy got "superman" flavor and ate the ENTIRE thing, that's rare for her. Of course my pics are all over and out of order.

This is a side of a building downtown, I love this painting.

Kissing bubby.

This is what happens when we take a pic, as good as it gets.

I think this is my favorite pic, I love her face so much.

Her silly self.

My how I love her. She was being so silly at dinner, such good spirits. After she ate she decided to dance next to her bubby. I love that she'll dance as if no one is watching.

Everett LOVES ice cream just like his sissy!

My handsome boys. If I could get Everett to look, he just wants his daddy's hat, I should have put it on my head.

Clara wanted to be on the other side, so she refused to look. Everett must have followed her lead.

Friday after Irma - last workday "off"

I'm dreading making up these days. I've enjoyed being home with my family. Minus the stress, storm, lack of power, and large amount of work to prepare and put away everything prepared, oh and the cleaning of the fridge and the breaking of the fridge, it's been a great "vacation". Regardless, I'm so glad I'm able to spend more time with my family, no matter the condition.

I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow. DREADING. There is A LOT less stress without work. I feel like I have a "handle" on life when work is not playing a part in my life and messing things up. Don't get me wrong, I love to teach children, but taking care of what I have at home is enough for me.

I got Clara busy on puzzling while I fed Everett. I challenged her to do three puzzles at a time. She is great at puzzles. She then upped the antie to four and dumped the one you see in the back of the pic.

Thumbs up - I did it mama!

Oh, after the power came on, I was super excited to get my large tent, aka my house, back in order. Particularly the kitchen. So Andre and I went to work for hours getting it up and running while the kids enjoyed the TV on again. I spent about two hours on the fridge. We worked so hard to keep the food cold and we pulled it off!!!!! I cleaned the fridge and feezer, top to bottom! Then it shit the bed while we were sleeping. So here we are on Friday night shopping for a new fridge.

Everett watches my mouth so carefully when I talk or sing. Tonight he fell asleep while I was singing to him. I had Andre take a pic of him since the light was still on, but I was rocking so it's a bit blurry. I love this time with him!!! He looks like a mouth breather, but he's not. His mouth is typically open at night because of his low muscle tone though.

Sunday Fun-day

We spent a nice low-key morning playing at home in the AC we're still enjoying back. We gave Everett a haircut. This is not the final cut, we blended more since this looks like a bowl cut. Andre and I agree this is our best cut yet. We are getting better at it and he did a little better than usual holding still, he does much better at the start and gets quite fed up by the end. It takes us a good 20-25 minutes. We are getting faster!

Afternoon trip to the beach. I also dumped about 10 sandbags back on the beach. I'm almost done with you Irma. A few more days and I hope to never speak of you again.

Clara decided to dive in the water today, into waves. She is so brave. Her daddy encourages her and she follows suit. She keeps her EYES OPEN. I cannot do that in a pool. She found this treasure at the bottom of the gulf today.

Everett enjoyed floating and splashing in his raft. He too is not bothered by salt water, I guess it helps when you're raised in it. I like being in it but I don't like it above my neck. We got out of the sun under our umbrella for a bit and practiced talking and saying words. He only took a 40 minute nap today so he was beat.

His reaction when I say, "Say cheese" - I still have no clue where this comes from.

Pit stop on the way home. I don't think we'll ever be able to get rid of this potty in the car, it's just too handy.

Looks like there was some fun on the floatilla on Cuba lake this weekend. Look at these cuties.
