Fusion 2/Thanksgiving

I feel like I had more pictures of the holiday and I'm missing some, maybe they are on Andre's phone. Anywhoo, these go backwards...

Snuggles with my whole heart on Saturday, I'll never, ever, ever, get enough of this feeling. Everett giving his stinky toes to sissy. 

Night before school starts, we will cross our fingers Everett is ready. He seems it with how he does at home, I think we are all a bit bored too, not that we want school, but our travels have been limited with him healing so it'll be nice to get back into a routine, since we have xmas so soon that is!


"Localtopia" where Darren and Corrie and hundreds of other small businesses go once a year. It's so cool and "Planks" is doing amazing! Clara is gearing up for her goal kick.




Daddy decided to take on the painting of the room project on Sat night/Sun am, he thought he would paint, cut the grass, pick out an xmas tree and one more thing I forgot. I just chuckle when he tells me his timelines and everything that can be done. I can always cut it into at least 1/9 of what he thinks will get done and my predictions are really accurate. I love this man and his high hopes, but oh boy is he off! 

Ana and T went to dad's on Saturday and went out for his bday!

Some of the kids at Aunt Julianne's thanksgiving dinner. We popped in with Everett but didn't stay as I had my crew with me. Everett needed to make it quick anyway, since he won't eat and it was his bedtime so we stayed an hour.

When he wakes up he wants to love on his sissy 

Trying to fatten up this skinny minny - he is only eating puree's and yogurt for the first week. No liquids and choking on solids. he is so light. I'm doing my best to fatten him back up.



He is moving his neck around on this swing pretty well, with a smile. He is hesitant to move his neck and does when he is playing but not when he is called. I like that he is careful. When asked about his movement Rodriguez said we will check back in three months, give him time.


He had a growth spurt too, so his legs are so long and skinny.


About a week out, sending pics to the doctor just to check in. It's nice, i can email them and I hear back pretty quick. They think everything looks great.


Visit from Emma, Allie, and Kathy - Emma is in my class and Miss Kathy is Everett's aide, Emma and Everett are pals and he hugs her all day long at school when he sees her. They were so kind and brought him a book, pretzels which he did start eating again the morning they came and some sparkle frozen spray for Clara, too nice!!!!!!!!! We loved our time with them and hope they come back!



Clara spend time playing with the neighbors this break, we have two families across the street and it's so nice that we can have impromptu play dates.

Everyone kept Aunt Ana busy, she drove out Sunday to Monday, TOO KIND - it was so nice having extra hands and someone to give Clara lots of love and attention


taking turns drawing, and he put on sissy's medal, it doesn't seem to bother his neck. They said I can put his glasses on as long as they are not tight, I haven't tried, I'm just nervous about him taking them off and being rough, we'll try for school tomorrow. yikes

Saturday, just got home 

He drank right away when we left the hospital, and then quit on me again for another week. He is drinking good now though but doesn't like this cup, which I'm glad bc I wanted him off this cup that he uses in the car but he hydrates so well in the car, hmmmm, conundrum

"Aint Krizzims" helped us break out, she couldn't believe the dr when he asked if we were ready for paperwork to discharge. I didn't say anything that morning bc I didn't want to jinx anything. I fibbed a bit about his eating and completely lied about his drinking, because I know my baby and I know he'll be fine as soon as we get outa dodge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Five days in, unbelievable, he is such a CHAMP!


Kate and Kingston were going to visit the hospital, but we were leaving so they met us at home. Best welcome home surprise ever. They brought cookie cake, yogurt bites since "King" knows E loves them and mama some yummy Rose Vodka....WHAT?! Let the celebrating begin!

Last stroll on Sat am with sissy, she was pretty upset we didn't go back Saturday afternoon for arts and crafts at 1pm. This girl, sometimes! 

He was so doped up and they made me get him moving, I knew he had too much medication in him and he was so shaky. OT and PT helped me get him out of the room and we stood him up for a bit, the only bonus was gravity got his suppository working! 

Clara was spoiled by Mimi for a day and played hookie and spent the entire day with Mimi, they did so many fun things together. Mimi is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! They even picked me a bouquet.

I thanked him for his amazing work and he said, "don't thank me until it fuses" - great reminder I need to keep crossing all my fingers and toes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll get better shots of his xrays friday when we go back for them to check his incision.


When I get him out of bed and in his stroller, something familiar, he eats so much better.

oxygen levels dropping, but he's so sleepy I can the mask against his face. He is at 88-89 on room air and this brings him to high 90s. The concern at sitting at high 80s is pneumonia - um, no thanks, been there. done that! Please never again.

sweet baby. I spent a lot of time making sure they didn't put tape on his face directly during surgery, I requested Duo Derm which is a barrier and he came out so clean and then they promised me after when he needed oxygen that the tape was specifically made for sensitive skin I believed them, WRONG. Never again. It wasn't as bad as before but even on for a few hours and it irritates his skin so much!


This sweet boy is so tolerant. He is sweet and patient. He is a fighter and brave. I can't believe he is mine. I cannot believe I get to be his mommy. We have spent so much time together these past two weeks he cried when I left for the first time the other night to grab subs. He kept pointing to the door and laying his head down sad with his hands on his face. Daddy called me and told me and I was about to flip it up but Andre said him hearing my voice was cheering him up. Little man, these last two weeks you have shown me resilience I've never seen before in my life. Bravery I never knew anyone could possess. Especially at four. I hope this is a distant memory that is very soon forgotten. I hope your bone fuses and you're healed and can run and play like you crave and deserve. I hope you're understanding of why daddy and I put you through this, we want your life to be so full and allow you to live it to the fullest. I hope this is it buddy, I hope your bone fuses and we can put surgeries and hospital stays behind us. You've been through so much in only four and a half years I cannot even recount all the crap you've been through. You are my hero, thank you for showing me true strength and being a light that makes me smile all day. I'm so thankful for you and your sissy, you both make me complete. Now don't be sad when we go to school tomorrow and you have to leave me, you know I'm not strong like you and cannot handle that!!!!!! I love you!
