For anyone who thinks we like to move, that's incorrect. If we could do it all over again, we would have likely asked dad to float a loan and just stay in the original Seminole house because we could have paid him over triple at this point...the things ya don't know.
We moved into the condo, which had me nearly depressed. We bought it, to cut our mortgage a lot, so I could go part time and live at therapy with Everett every morning. Knowing we would be applying for lottery schools for the kids two years later, I likely would have been fine staying in the condo, Andre was over it. I don't blame him and understood, so we moved. We found our dream home in our old neighborhood (or we likely would have not done anything) and our realtor told us to put our condo on the market to make it a strong offer. So we did. We didn't get our dream house and then our condo sold the next day and we had three weeks to get out. The house in Riviera Bay was the ONLY house we found that we loved and of course it's far from everything. It was in the most beautiful neighborhood by Weedon Island which is a nature preserve, the nature in the neighborhood and surrounding our home was so very beautiful. And who knew we would be living next to the most amazing neighbors with cool kids our kids age. We traded kids and threw block parties, I'll miss so much about this house and neighborhood.
Pics to remember.
My view out the kitchen window, I'll never have such a beautiful view from my sink...well maybe when we are retired and Clara and Everett have made it big and buy mom and dad a house where my view from my sink is the sea!
S'mores on the deck Andre built
I was on my 10th week of not missing a three mile jog around this beautiful neighborhood. I'll miss that a lot, I felt comfortable at 5am in the dark and loved the sun coming up during my jog. Where we live now is a closed development which I'd have to go back and fourth about 25 times to get three miles in and there's a busy road outside of it. I'll have to find a free spot to park and run on the beach, we are only five minutes away!
Thankfully the new owners, (older couple from Kentucky) have family here and grandkids so they bought the play set! Andre may have drowned himself in the pond by the house if we had to take that sucker apart!
Here is a new play set that isn't so high up, even with Everett's neck fixed I didn't like that play set being so high. The big kids got great use out of it. Here is a smaller one that might fit in our side yard and not give me anxiety.
Chalky mess.
Ana's house
Movie time
The roof needs to be redone and the pool resurfaced. After we sold the house everything started to fall apart on us.
Things that broke after we were under contract:
garbage disposal
pool skimmer
washer leaking
toilet and shower in the master backed up - straight up sewage
clogged drains in spare bathroom shower
water heater going
sprinkler system
pool deck - on top - sections seemingly about to combust
Finally - the front door handle broke, ANdre fixed it and the day we were supposed to close our realtor couldn't get in, Andre was there ten minutes before and it was fine. He rushed back from work to fix it again before the new owners did their final walk through. If I was spooked by signs, I'd be spooked. This all in one months time.
I really miss our appliances now that we are moved into our new house. They were top of the line!
We brought the bar - it was our favorite one Andre built and didn't want to start over!
New house - mud room off of garage
Not nearly the size yard we had before. Good and bad. It'll be a small pool we put in and there won't be room for kicking a ball once the pool goes in but we are at the end of the cul-de-sac so we can play in the road. Andre won't have so much to redo. We already took these trees out here for palms.
side yard for pool - looks bigger than it really is. We are in flood zone x so no insurance and we don't have to leave for a hurricane - my favorite part about the house!
Nice retention pond by our house with a fountain that sounds so relaxing. It makes me a bit nervous about Everett if he escapes out but we are going to put bolts on the top of our doors stat.
Old house snuck in the wrong place.
So, this couple had great taste and a lot more money so unfortunately our decor will not be making this house look so fancy. We liked their style but love ours more!
Five bed four bath 3400 sq. feet
Upstairs playroom
master
master bath
tiny bedroom outside of master - we are eventually going to put bunk beds on either side for sleepovers
Now Everett's room
Clara's room and we sold her bunk bed and kept this trundle and her furniture. We are eventually going to try and get a bunk/trundle like Elsa and Fi have in the Lake house. Out her window is the perfect view of the pond. Everett's too. Clara has a sitting ledge.
Kids bath
bedroom downstairs right when you walk in, Murphy bed in the closet.
guest bath downstairs.
they took their washer and drier. We will eventually put up cupboards and there is a sink across from the washer and drier
Our bar will go here
bathroom in mud room
We are two minutes from Everett's school and five minutes from the beach. We are closer to everyone and everything. Hopefully Clara and I can get into the school and all live 5 minutes from everything. We are farther from 275 and therapy but I hope one day therapy ends. I'm 15 minutes closer to my work.
Clara, Everett and I are all planning on going back brick and mortar if the county doesn't force virtual which sounds likely. Everett's amazing teacher came over to our new home to meet him. Michael our pseudo grandpa is going to pick him up. I have a lot of relief in my heart and for the love, we aren't moving for a decade plus at least. When we do, we are getting movers. Poor Crews and Fegers, we have amazing family/friends and are so thankful they helped us move for the last time for a LONG time!
