THe last day of school! Everett was dressed for his birthday party in his pizza socks. When you ask him what he wants for his bday, he says, "pizza" socks.
Show and tell - Clara took a mini tea cup set from Mimi
My Covid 3rd graders are 5th graders and graduating. It's so sad, they were all so sad. I'm very thankful to be in this position because they came and told me they said they were the luckiest class because they had me as a teacher and now I get to be in their classroom too since I'm ESOL. My boys were a sobbing mess, it was the sweetest thing! I'm going to miss their faces so much!
I sent Lili's mom a text of us saying how much I'm going to miss her and she sent me back this beauty of her in 3rd grade 2020.
Last day as a fifth grader. She ran down the hall to me each morning and each morning I told her she needed to follow the rules and power walk to give me a hug instead of run, hahaha. So many more selfies we took and I am still close with these parents because I've sent them pictures all year since they still are not asked into the school for fun events. I still get spoiled on teacher appreciation week by all of them. I'm really going to miss this bunch!
My princess wanted to dress up on the last day, and she wanted me to make her hair into a bow. I can't believe she is going to be a third grader! I remember when she started school and I'd compare my students to her thinking it would take so long for her to be the age of the kids I was teaching, I should have known it would go by in a blink.
Mrs. Bondio on the right with her daughter Ava and Mrs. Cervoni - both my coworkers.
Super awesome part of being in ESOL is that I get to sneak off and spend time in Clara's class on the last day(s) when the other kids I'm teaching are working on the end of year packets they don't need my help with.
Everett's birthday party at school. We sent in ribbons for a celebration and Mrs. Greene said they loved them so much she is going to have a ribbon party each year. Thankfully Everett will have her again next year and we can send them in for his birthday again unless he is into something else. He really loves his ribbons though. THe kids were all admiring how "good" he is at "ribbonining". I got the cutest video of them all singing Happy Birthday to him. Everett will be with Ms. Greene again next year, I hope we're making the right choice for him.
My gal Chelsey!
We are going to miss Mrs. McClelland, now Clara can go back to calling her Kate but she said it feels weird. She had an amazing year with her!
Happy birthday at school a few days early!
Buddy boy, he had a goobie in his eye but I didn't want to get it and ruin the photo op
Everett is obsessed with his crown, pizza SOCKS
We have a Curious George theme with some pizza/pizza socks thrown in...
Buddy and Daddy making the crown, I come up with the ideas and Andre makes them come to life, we make a great team!
Ms. Dawn got Everett his favorite books and characters - books by Mo Williams, Everett loves them and finds them hysterical.
A flamingo-like bird by our duckling friends...
Birthday morning
"Tybee" sent Everett a really fun present he couldn't resist pausing from gift opening and getting all dancy
Sissy did a great job getting Everett into a great routine of reading cards before opening gifts. He loves routine and he got in a groove, reading every card first and finishing with "the end" - so when writing Everett a card, you can add "the end" and he'll be so shocked it's actually written there.
Checking out his crown
Let's get to the beach!
Sissy was sad, her sensory issues and sunblock went south and Everett couldn't stand it. As you can see she is super sad and getting hugs form him and he is saying, "Sissy, happy face." and then makes a silly face to make her laugh.
She goes to him for comfort and he is always there for her, I love them so much. I hate her sad face but I love watching how they love one another.
Beach birthday party was the perfect idea (patting myself on the back). I knew I wanted to invite his entire class and we have a lot of family and friends who love Everett and it's FREE fun and lots of space. So many people came and showered Everett with so much love. His classmates give him the sweetest attention and love. His friend Finnigan drove to come from beyond Tampa. He was the happiest little dude, he needs a few birthdays a year, he appreciates the love so much...from near and far.
Uncle Jeff
Ivy June - she walked Everett into class all year. She will be in middle school next year so we will have to find a replacement. He was so excited to see her each day! They have a very special bond.
Finnigan!
Logan and Hailey - Everett's PT's babies. The sweetest. This is the PT that went into Everett's spinal fusion to be with him.
Baby "kenny" - Kensligh - Kate's daughter. Kate is also Mrs. McClelland - Clara's teacher, Doe's daughter. She has a son Kingston, Everett calls him King. They are family. Explaining to try and connect the dots for my NY people. Michael (Kate's stepdad) picked up Everett each day last year after school and he would go back to their house and they are on my way home. He and Baby Kenny were there together and she was Everett's baby, I don't think he recognizes her now she has grown so much, but he loves to hug and hold her just the same.
cousin love
Ms. Greene - Everett's teacher
Mr. Michael
Ms. Greene
Sophia
This is Lennon Everett's bff from class and her parents. Her mom Theresa gets Everett from school when we're in a pickle, the SWEETEST family! He loves going home with them!
Lisa, Brit and Sophia (and baby girl in Brit's belly) Lisa will be a grandma again soon
Mrs. McClelland/Kate and baby Kenny
Everett's best moments at his party other then the happy bday song
Cousin Gabrielle, Selene, Muneca and Juliane
After bday party relaxation - so necessary, we were all so happy to be piled in bed together.
Everett has been playing a speech game on my phone, it's super fun for him and interesting and helps him use sounds he struggles with, it keeps him interested in a variety of ways, one of which is selfies...enjoy - mind you he uses this app while he's eating.
Memorial day at the Cotilla's
For party favors, the kids got kites and a beach towel...Julia got busy right away
Michelle, Everett's PT had two twin boys, Landon and Logan. Landon passed after birth and she carries on his legacy with sailing for special needs once a year. This year was the second annual. The most wonderful family...
Back to memorial day - my pics load in their own way - i hope you can piece it together.
Gabby Lisa's daughter, cracks me up
These cuties started martial arts and love it.
Sissy is Everett's "helper" and she is THE BEST - seriously, I couldn't be more proud
Everett agreed to try a swim class, she made up her mind she would hate it before she did it but she committed to one, and she hated it. We were hoping she would like it enough to swim for the summer and get great exercise. Nada.
Mom had a play date, two in one day. My friends from Southern Oak in the am and friends from Shore Acres.
I got new extensions and Clara got her hair chopped!
Summer kickoff at the local Largo Library. They did such a nice job, they had tie-dye and endless crats.
The look I get when she catches me taking pictures.
Went to visit dad and Al before they head back North...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooO, Wilson's is closing. Our #1 so sad
Everett peed on the potty and LOVES snapchat so he earned some pics, he loves it so much.
Playdate with Ivy
