June 17

Everett had a good, quiet night. He was moved from his room since it needed a deep cleaning. We are now in a large room with multiple babies. Our nurse is trying to get us a private room, I hope so!!! It's so noisy with beeps everywhere from all the babies, nurses and doctors everywhere. One might think that's A comfort, but they are conversing more than working. No peace for this little man.

Everett is making steady progress! His doctor and nurse practitioner both been every time they see him these days!

They took away the breaths the machine was giving him along with the pressure. Now he is just receiving oxygen at a steady pace.m Today is his last day of his anabiotic. The machine is set at 86, when it gets down to it two we can try to feed him with a bottle. She is hoping he is of the machine out together next week.

Aunt Tiffany and aunt Corrie came by today to see him. Thankfully Doe is too kind, and let me stay extra long today. His nurse is not what one would call gentle. She has ripped tape off his face, (normally they get it wet at least, I wasn't expecting it or I would have spoken up) left him laying on his plastic and wiring, (she was irritated at him being "fussy") gagged him with his pacifier, and so on…I speak up but it doesn't seem to change much.

I will be hanging out as long as I can to do things myself and keep a close eye until Andre is off work. It is the worst feeling in the world to leave your baby in someone's hands you don't trust. Especially one that's brand new, sick, and needs his mama!

He loves the baby Einstein lights and music under the sea toy big sister Clara picked out yesterday!
