After Everett's PT apt we went over to the hospital to visit our two favorites. There were many wonderful people that "fixed" Everett when he was so sick, but Ashley and Melissa always had these bright smiles and made each day better, even in the worst of times. Everett was tired and out of it, he also couldn't take his eyes off Ashley's red shirt...
The amount of emotion that rushed through me taking the elevator up to the 6th floor that used to be our home was horrifying. I left with eyes flooded with tears, just too many emotions. Every sound and every smell brought back memories that I've clearly tried to put in my past. That time in our lives was a complete blur, which I'm thankful for, but I knew I needed to take something nice to these two and say hi to others before going back to work. They were thrilled to see Everett and so happy to see how well he was doing of course. I was more than elated to be a visitor this time...let's keep it that way buddy!
