So, for the month of June I let my kids get off the hook with everything. We still did academics, but I was sneaky about it. I was slave mama and they didn't have much responsibility. I'm trying not to count down but I'm pretty sure July is almost half over which means I have only two more weeks plus a few days before my reality hits and we need to get back into the swing of things. Clara is the BEST helper. She fights me at first but once we have routine and she is in the swing of things she is my right hand lady. I'm making her a picture chart of her tasks and laminating it so she can check off that she does everything daily. From the choice of laundry, garbage, clean dishes or dirty dishes she decided she would unload the dishwasher for her daily chore. It's SO nice to have one thing off my hands daily. She is willing to climb the counters for high places but I convinced her to just leave anything she cannot reach on the counter in front of the cupboard for me to put up.
Rinse your spit or you clean the sink! We have our toothbrushes and self care on the kitchen counter. I feel like that is the location because we still have to help Everett so much we have always kept things central for sake of time. Clara had to clean the sink once after I let her spit dry, so she really got the point and hasn't forgotten since.
She has a timer by her mirror so she brushes for two minutes. She was wandering around the house while brushing and she likely learned this technique from her constant multitasking mommy. I bought us a mirror so she can focus on all the sides of EACH tooth and the zoom in side for my chin hairs. ;)
Take care of your kitty!
I need to take a few more before I print. She needs one for carrying her items to the sink, pouring and rinsing...her dad needs the "put the dishes on the RIGHT side sink" reminder too!
