Dec 2018

We have had a crazy packed December. Here's some of it!

Clara's practice for the first triangle performance, on the stage.

Clara and her cute triangle pals

While sissy was on stage with her friend Juliet, Bubs and Leo (Juliet's little brother) had a love fest. They hugged and kissed and hugged and kissed, for eternity. It was so great. Sweet, sweet, boys!

Leaving school and seeing his tiny self walk out, sometimes I need to capture just how little and adorable he is, before I know it he's going to be taller than that bar and able to open the 100lb door that keeps him "locked" in with me.

Christmas tree time!

 This part is too cute

Perfect skinny tree for the kids play room. Kristin gave us her artificial tree and we have that in the living room. Bubs enjoyed pointing to it.

First xmas gift, pigs from a coworker. Both kids are obsessed with their piggies!

Even though Everett doesn't look thrilled, he is. ;)

This little boy walks into class, puts his folder away, hangs his bag, checks his name in, and finds his toy and seat like a pro! I'm so proud! He has a one on one aide Alyssa who is super sweet and takes great care of him, yet helping him become independent.

The day Kristopher left. :( So sad. I'm so thankful he came and said goodbye but the tears were flowing.

Time to decorate! Sissy loves filling her stocking! Time is flying!

Elks Club Event we go to each year that Andre's co-worker invites us to. The kids love it. There is balloon animals, face painting, ornament making, cookie frosting, hot dog and ice cream, and Mr. and Mrs. Clause of course!

Oh and a PRESENT, how did I forget the best part!

First triangle performance.

Everett loved the performance because he got to clap a lot. He was so behaved, an hour long performance and he sat with us and was so happy!

Someone got the sweet tooth!

Doe and Michael came!

Aunt Ana, Aunt Theresa, and Addi showed their love and support!

They stole the show. So cute!

Cousins

Nunie has shoes! Do these look familiar Aunt Barb? I am fairly certain you got Clara this ornament after she was born and she is obsessed with the face that Nunu has shoes now. Somehow they stay on.

Kingston's birthday party

Great friends who are invited to Kingston's birthday party, two years ago.

And now. I heart my work peeps.

Uncle Luiz came to visit. We made banana bread!

Second triangle performance.

Hugs from her brother before the show...

I love their love so very much!

Such a good boy!

Tiffany packed entertainment, SMART!

Dedicated daddy

Clara loves her magazines!

My poor boy wasn't well at school. Come to find out it was teeth. This is how my pumpkin naps at school, I love when I get to see these moments, I feel so removed from their lives when they're in school all day. Especially his because I never get to hear about the details of the day. I can't wait until one day he can tell me everything.

He has peed on the potty a few times, but I don't think the dots are connecting, or maybe he just doesn't care. We'll keep trying!

My handsome plus one for my Christmas party!

3rd and Final performance with Ms. Matz at the VA

Oh these two!

A few were missing but they still sounded great! ;)

Clara trying to recall "Frosty the Snowman" - a little bashful in front of others.

Work Party! Andre stayed home with our teething guy. There was a gift exchange that was quite hysterical. Always a good time!

My gals

Lots of this

On our way to the boat parade at Aunt Leesie and Uncle Eddie's, breaking rules and staying out past bedtime on a Sunday night.

But first! Christmas pictures, ya know, because we have two weeks left to figure this out and get them in the mail.

Watching the boats!

Everett loves any chance to clap and cheer!

Muh Ladies!

At therapy with Miss Cody!

She works hard with both my cuties. She is sweet and energetic and helps me problem solve all sorts of fun things between both my cuties!

He liked this, for one minute.

Tatting daddy up

Santa in school!

So, long story short. Clara's teacher's set it up so the Grinch would steal their stockings. Clara was very disturbed by this and was afraid, deathly afraid of the Grinch, she wouldn't even go to the bathroom in school by herself for the rest of the day. She was petrified for the rest of the day, no matter what I told her. I even told her the truth, that her teachers were just playing make believe because usually it's fun, and they weren't trying to scare anyone. She wouldn't believe me or Andre. She couldn't fall asleep and was up multiple times in the night. I slept with her most of the night and it was in a way, amazing. She snuggled so close, she's not a huge snuggler, not like this anyway. So, I told her at 1am that we'd talk to her teachers in the morning and they'd confirm they did it and she said she'd believe me. So, we snuggled and first thing when we got to school we spoke with her teachers and that was that, she believed them and it was done. Twenty four hours of worry for nothing. It was so odd, normally she likes being "scared" even though she knows the Grinch isn't a scary. She LOVES Halloween and everything scary, I don't get it. Anyway, to finish the story, Santa brings the stockings back and saves the day. That probably helped her thoughts too! I wish someone could have covered my class so I could have seen them, not necessarily with Santa, but just together. It's so cool they go to school and have events like this together and PE together, I wish I could be a fly on the wall and see them interact. One of their PE coaches (the one dressed as an elf in this pic actually!) takes pictures for me and tells me what a mother hen Clara is with him. I love their love for one another so much, it's super special already and it makes me so happy.

Our crazy classes! Lisa and I taught them the 12 days of Christmas in FL, it's a book that goes to the tune of the song. They loved it, most of them. This has been a crazy school year so far, I've never looked so forward to a break from it all. Working full time and having our schedule is chaos, but we're hanging in there.

Alyssa who works with Everett every day got him this book. It's obvious she knows him super well. Not only does he loves books, but he loves the sensory books and it's so cute! She also sent home a really cute play-doh snowman for all the kids, they got to build it themselves and dress it all up, both mine LOVED it. We are very fortunate to have her as his influence all day, along with all of his other great teachers.

I'll never get enough of his sweetness, and his bath hair.
