Sunday - Blessing/Ivybday/mom's bday/Kristopher graduation

Today was a fun filled Sunday. I wish I could have been in NY this weekend for Kristopher's graduation and party. I can't believe he is graduating!!! The great news is that in January he'll be going to Tampa so I'm hopeful I'll get to see him more!

Sunday morning started with Julia's blessing. It was very nice and simple. Tiffany made Julia's blessing dress out of her wedding dress, her mom's veil, and I think her baptism dress. How meaningful, AND beautiful! She did a great job. She also stayed up until 2 am (typical for this crazy mama of 4) to make her headband for today too. She looked perfect and behaved perfect too.

Clara and I before church. I wanted to put Clara in a new dress since she's worn this on many occasions however the other dress had thin straps and I think that's frowned upon in church. Also, I love this one. Thanks Siobhan, it's my fav!

This isn't fair. This is supposed to happen when they are like 9, not 8 months. After month 4, I've been out of luck. I hope someday she wants kisses and snuggles.

She looks so innocent. ;)

Pretty Julia.

Hehe. love the hand

Look at her pretty dress. I'm so mad I cut off the bottom with room at the top.

I'm so thankful that my koo-koo bird is so behaved in public. She wouldn't sleep the entire time, until the very end, she finally caved. However, She sat quiet and behaved. Each time I leave the house I'm expecting her to behave like she does at home, crazy, but she's still got a little calm she saves for the PERFECT moments. Thank you my little love.

Vicki (Tiffy's Mom) admiring her dress and her veil.

Love this picture of them looking smiling each other.

I love that Julia is still locked into Grandma. You may notice Tyler's life is over here, he is not getting enough of mommy's attention today. But he is still so cute about it all.

I love so many things in this. First, I love Tyler holding SO tight, his cute face, and a portion of Julia's dress...why he's holding so tight, he wants mommy's love all to himself. Although he is "upset" and wanting more, he is still cute and funny.

Corrie and her eldest, Malia. She is getting too big, 3rd grade next year...where does the time go?

After church we were off to Corrie & Darren's youngest, Ivy June's 3rd bday party at the local pool. Clara napped for about 30-40 minutes today, yikes. You can see she is tired, but wouldn't sleep in the bit of time we had at home in between.

Ivy June Bug opening a gift.

Sweet Noah, Corrie & Darren's middle child, he's stuck with two crazy sisters.

A gift for Ivy from cousin Olivia & crew.

Andre and Darren cooling off with ice cream. Clara is about to take a dip!

Birthday girl!

I forgot to take a picture of Clara in the pool with all the people there. It was crazy. So many kids, lots of splashing and the pool is about 10 degrees cooler than ours. Clara did great. She was a little apprehensive at first. She quickly adjusted and enjoyed the pool with everyone for about 40 minutes then we headed home. She was asleep in the car within 10 minutes. She has been saying, "Dadadadadada" non-stop. Once it got quiet I knew she was out. She took a good evening nap.

Since today is my mom's birthday, I wanted to do something special, that I'd like to do with her if she were here. I tried to think of what she would want. Then I realized, I don't know her favorite drink, meal or dessert. Ana later informed me that her favorite drink was a Manhattan, it was about 8ish on Sunday night when I found that out, I'll take a rain check and make that one up to her. I need to find answers to the rest.

I know her favorite color was green, so I chose the green tank top. I didn't notice until now that Andre was covered in green too, perfect. We took a walk in Seminole Park, perfect. Lots of green there too! ;) Andre hates the park. He does things like this for me. We took some fun pictures. I wish my mom was in them.

This silly girl and grab/slapping faces. I don't know why she is such a crazy.

She loves her new riding place.

My favorite picture of the day.

I've got to sneak in kisses when I can.

Andre didn't like the idea of taking pics where she could topple right off. I trust her. I probably shouldn't. He was close by just in case. Love the pics though. We were all "rough" looking from a long hot day, didn't really plan on a photo shoot, but glad we did even in our walking clothes.

Successful with her sippy cup. I think sucking from a stra has helped.

Favorite toy.

Second favorite pic today.

I love sitting in the back with her, playing with her, playing with my camera.

Third favorite.

I didn't know what to pick for her dessert. I got carrot cake and red velvet thinking maybe it would be one of those. If not, I know she'd like both anyway. We sang happy birthday to grandma.

Happy Birthday mom. We miss you. We love you.

So Clara has been extra wacky, in every way. Especially at night. She has also started a few bad habits we're not too fond of, hoping it's just a phase. She is pushing her spoon away from her mouth all the time being a picky eater. I'm not sure why. She LOVES everything I'm still feeding her, nothing new. I don't know if she's just not hungry the last two days, or maybe with tasting table foods as of late, that's what she wants instead. Even those she'll push away though sometimes. Needless to say, #1 I'm worried she's not eating enough and scared she'll start waking up in the middle of the night hungry and make bad habits, we'll see. #2 it makes a mess when I don't catch her fast hand fast enough and she hits the spoon and food goes flying. This little pumpkin. I get so scared about how full our hands will be with her the holder she gets. She reminds me too much of her daddy: stubborn knows what she wants, knows what she doesn't want, koo-koo, unable to sit still, etc --- oh boy!

Anyway, after taking out her pig tails and putting on her zebra pj's, Andre and I were both dying laughing at her crazyness and crazy hair.

Why are my parents laughing at me?

Yep, she is out of control. I may eat these words, but I think it maybe easier when she is able to move. She'll need to be contained yes, but she won't be a loopy monkey on my lap wanting to be everywhere but there.

It's been a year since Tim died. Miss you Timmy!

Brandi sent me these pics. Amazing. Elsa out on the boat late night. I love the pretty girl, happy daddy and pink sunset on the lake. Brandi said they had a fun "late" night.

haha. Fresh air will do it!

Can't believe Kristopher graduated. We are so proud of you Kristopher. Can't wait for you to be in Tampa!! Thank you Kylie for taking pictures and sharing with me. So sad we couldn't be there for it all!

Tiffany is sending me pictures of Julia in Clara's clothes. LOVE IT!

At Kristopher's graduation party, Kristin had a happy bday for mom table. Great idea! I love the pic on the bottom right where her hair was growing back. I love that she got to meet some of her grand babies! She was an amazing grandmother!!!!!! Mother. Friend. Sister. Wife. Woman.

When I think of Kristopher, I'll always picture that kid at the top in the hat and uniform. He'll always stay that age in my mind. I remember when I called and he answered and his voice changed...can't you shrink again Kristopher?! How fast that went keeps my time with Clara at the forefront of my mind, I know it will be a blink, I don't want it to be. I'll cherish every moment. Great job Kristin and Mark, you raised two beautiful children!!

Typo: should say Kristopher ;)
