tricks to the trade

I've been trying to get Everett to stand, away from a surface for a while. The PT has been able to do it during therapy with this huge blue mat she has since he can lean back slightly. So, I finally used my noggin and pulled out his crib mattress. It worked perfect, especially with a side distraction of Clara. His legs quiver after 20 minutes and we take breaks and the minutes slightly decrease until he caves quick. That is amazing for him, he is such a hard worker and I'm so proud.

The interventionist that comes to the house from Early Steps got him to walk across the room holding her hands, he has yet to take steps for mama. I can't wait to see if the PT can get him to do it next Monday.

I love these two boogers!

She asked me to take this pic of her and nunu, she's been asking me to take pics more frequently. I love her toothy smile!

He is now also standing proud on the trampoline Kristin got them. He can lock his knees here though so I have to watch him. If I tell him to dance he'll bend but not for too long. In case your curious, he is also wearing his SPIO vest with basically gives him a "hug" or extra core support. It is a pain to get on, along with his shoes but it does help him feel stronger/more supported I think...you can see his right toes up in the air and his knee locked here. Bubs! ;)

Yet another, "Get a picture of me and Nunie!"

Just silly

They are playing together more and more, she is such a great big sissy...most of the time.

Eating at the high top counter...

Fun at therapy. Thankfully we have great therapists who let Clara have fun too! I was nervous she was going to roll over her fingers, I remember doing that as a kid, boy it hurt!

Hehe!

Sunday Fun day!

Don't mind the messy garage. Everett finally stood for a long period of time on the trampoline. His little leggies were trembling by the end. Daddy and sissy were at the skating rink while we got a workout on. He was stable enough for me to lift a few weights myself! Everything is so jerry rigged in this pic, pretty ghetto.

He was still able to tilt his foot up and lock his knee when he fatigued. These braces are supposed to prevent this but Everett finds a way around everything. (Insert angry mommy emoji face here)

Out to breakfast before Kylie had to leave. Clara and Everett were playing. She loves to pop from one side to the other and they giggle. She almost has the under bite face of "I love you so much I want to eat you" look.

my heart is happy

No shower, quick make-up, but I couldn't resist asking to get a pic with my girl while she was posing so nicely for her daddy.

TOO BIG

Trying to get them both to look.

I love you beautiful girl.

First spring beach trip of 2017

I got this reminder on my phone when I logged into facebook Saturday morning. I asked Andre if we could follow ritual and get to the beach, so we went Saturday after nap.

I cannot believe how fast three years flies by, I want it to slow down so bad. It makes me so so sad how fast time is flying. My babies are getting too big!

Yes, you...little beauty, enough growing sweetie pie. you're still so cute, but a bit more mouthy. ;)

Chillin in his lounge chair.

Everett started to eat sand with his recent teething, nothing stays out. Thankfully he got busy crawling following sissy instead.

This lady bug was her bff for the beach trip. It landed on her, wise choice bug, she loves nature.

Let spring break begin!

Tiffany came over this Friday since Steven is working at home since my sitter gave me one day's notice she needed two and a half weeks off?! I'm going to write a book on bad care givers, in my spare time. Let's just hope she decides to show up after her big trip she planned last minute. I'm happy the cousins get to play, they've been enjoying their time together.

Everett decided to crawl out of his crib on Tiffany's watch. He was on the side table you see to the right, thankfully, instead of the floor. He is all over and cannot be trusted out of site anymore. She was downstairs turning on the monitors, it took him no time at all. Just the day before I was teaching him how to climb on the couch, clearly it worked. He is up to no good. He's putting everything in his mouth, as soon as he hears the gate to the stairs or any door outside, he is b-lining his way out for freedom. We're going to need to come up with a better plan when he's on his feet, although he is very fast on his knees! Tiffany had already lowered the crib when I got home so this is his new height. Thanks Tiffy!

Safely sleeping on the floor after his escape, Tiffany lowered the crib while he napped here.

She also sends me funny pics like this.

Mr. Snuggles.

Two girls enjoying their first "sleep over" on the top bunk.

I LOVE THIS PIC

Saturday morning we went for a ride. I sneezed the entire time. It was a quick trip.

Is this too close mommy? When Everett is done drinking his milk while reclined this is how he proceeds to watch his show.

Clara and I took a quick walk to CVS to grab a few essentials and then a milkshake for her. She sure can polish a milkshake!

Going through the car wash with daddy after gymnastics. She got used to them in her car seat, but you can see how serious she is taking it now that she can see out the front. Her legs are too long. I continue to beg her to stop growing, she's not listening.
