Oh. My. God.

I was looking for sleep study pics and came across this. Everett, I forget how chunky and squishy you were. Can I please squeeze you back to this shape and size? I want to snuggle this little bunny again!!!!! :((((((((( I miss this little baby. About a month and a half here...OMG!

1st sleep study

This was the little man 11/28/15 at his first "sleep" study. His protection keeping him in bed was teddy. No tape to keep that thing on his face, like he wouldn't rip it off?!/ Peeps be crazy.

Sleep study - 4/5/17

So, they ask us to show up at 7:15 to head up, by 7:30. An entire hour past his typical bedtime, I finally get annoyed enough to speak up and get us up and started. Although beat, he chills in the waiting area.

I had to go to admissions, the same room and chair from when we signed him into the NICU for WAY too long. The memory of being two days post delivery, emotional, beat up, exhausted, and losing my mind all flashed before my eyes. It sucked. Those things I block out, I'd like to keep out. The scent, the sounds of the hospital, made a rough start. I texted my sweet friend that never got to take her baby home. :( Which put things in perspective for me. She came to visit us while we were in the NICU, I have no clue how she walked through those doors. It's hard to go down paths we block. I was steps away from my parking spot on the way into the hospital where I came to realize it might be possible my son has Down syndrome. It's strange how you'll never forget where your feet stood when those life changing events take place.

"Mom, why are you doing this to me again...and smiling about it."

Finally, this tired boy was in his room by 8 and ready to get all wired up. The first hour went well, the last thirty minutes, not so well. He had had it, it was 2 hours past his bedtime and we were having to hold him down to prevent him from pulling wires off. It breaks my heart. I find it all very interesting but I just wish it could be me not him. At least this time they had a crib for him and a cozy bed for me. I got about two hours and he maybe 3-4. The "nurse" (not sure, maybe tech) was great which helped. Last time I took him to a sleep study there were 2,000 red flags I ignored. It was in some ghetto place in Tampa, no crib, a 3 hour hook up, insensitive tech, NO sleep that night, pointless. No results. "All is well" but my baby slept for 20 minutes at a time for a month, no...sorry, not "all's well!" So, this was better. Hopefully results in another week.

This was in the am before she took everything off. Then he screamed for another 30 minutes while she did that. Poor sweetie. I wanted to a few pics of the process, but I needed to entertain him. I'm going to try to find his last sleep study pic. It was Nov 28 of 15, and WAY worse than this experience. So all in all, good experience. Hopefully it can give us some direction. Many with Down syndrome have sleep apnea. I don't think he does, but what do I know?!

Tiny feet

I can't believe how big this tiny foot is. ;)

So excited to go to Grandpa's to swim!

Practicing with scissors, she did well for try 1. I think because we limit her to a chair to do arts and crafts she is less interested and her OT skills are pretty poor.

More projects.

Awe....conked.

Two of them.

Bubby loves waking his sissy.

Banana bread, nunu helping of course.

"Mommy, take a picture of me and send it to daddy because I'm being such a good listener." She did great this past OT session, after the speech session. I don't give her enough credit. Love you sis, you're a rockstar!

Possible gate trainer we may get him. I'm nervous he'll rely on it. I'm going to PT tomorrow and she'll give me/us good guidance. He had fun tooling around, he picked up on how to navigate fast.

Again, so small, I want to remember her this small forever, since it's flying by! We race on our way in, and on our way out every day. She was very annoyed I took a picture instead of raced.

Of course sissy will "help"

Gramps, and then some...

Look at these skills...

bubbles on our boat, believe it or not, this is therapy for E. He crawls up the ramp and traveling around the bed both force him to use upper body strength, just one out of the billion things we're building on. While keeping Clara content blowing bubble after BIG bubble to let it crash through her perisol.

She was SO mad I wanted a picture and didn't take it fast enough for her to still pop it on her own, but she hid it well!

Grandpa's pool is warm!

I've never seen her so tired. She skipped her nap. On top of swimming all day. She was CRAZY. She woke up screaming about 40 minutes in, it didn't stop until we got her in bed about 1.5 hours later. Then, she woke up at 12 am doing it again, claiming she was going to throw up the entire time. I think it was pure exhaustion.

Leslie and Paul stopped by dad's and brought goodies for the kids. A terrarium was a great gift for this little gal.

Bubs wants to help of course. And who doesn't want to wear a swim cap that is 2.5 years too small?!

And a neat activity book!

Working hard with mama in cute pj's.

Oh yea, he got a shiner with the babysitter. :( She thought he startled himself after falling down from the table, a day later it was black. I'm pretty sure he pulled a wooden puzzle down on himself. There's got to be a first for everything?!

"Camping"

Clara and Andre joined the Fegers and Crews at Fort Desoto beach for a few hours in the evening on St. Pats day. They crammed everything fun about camping into a few hours.

Made cookies before to take.

No clue when this was or why it's here.

Grilled chicken and corn, way more, but since I wasn't there that's all I can notice. Looks yummy!

Um, WAY to big. Dylan, slow down!

They're all getting too big.

So glad these girls got to hang out! It doesn't happen enough...

She wants to try to climb every tree she sees, finally, an opportunity!

SMORES

Stick fighting. What else can one cram into a quick camping trip? Oh, sunset!

Sick of pictures.

Gymnastics? Tossed into "camping" whoops
